I created an application for US F1 visa on usvisascheduling.com (the new portal). I paid the visa application fees using NEFT and I received a payment receipt by email. But the fee payment never showed up on the portal. In fact, the portal gave me only one option: "Close Application and State New Application". Since this was the only option available, I clicked it and tried to enter the receipt number in the "Claim Receipts" step of the application. But that did not work.
In summary, I have paid my fees and obtained a receipt by email but I am unable to proceed with my application because the fees don't show up on the portal. Has anybody faced this issue, and if so how did they solve it?
I have tried sending a message using the Feedback/Requests tab, but every time I do that, I get a message within 2 days saying that the issue has been resolved, even though nothing has been resolved. I have tried calling the call center but they also say "The issue will be resolved" or "We have escalated the issue" but nothing happens. Have people here had any success in dealing with the call center?
